About Walk In Integrity

WII is motivated by a love for human flourishing. I have seen and experienced the damage that a lack of integrity, especially in the sexual area, can cause to hearts, minds, relationships, careers, families, and communities. I believe that knowledge is power, and I hope this site will educate and inspire people, especially young people, to make healthy, informed choices about the moral direction of their lives.

Integrity, to my mind, is about becoming a particular kind of person. It is about creating relationships, environments, habits, and thoughts patterns that foster right action–not laser-focusing on a single issue, bad habit, or vice. There may be struggle in the process, given our flaws as people and the fallible world we live in. However, the goal is to get to a place where we do (and desire) the right thing effortlessly, as a natural expression of who we are.

The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil.

Luke 6:45

Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become. No single instance will transform your beliefs, but as the votes build up, so does the evidence of your new identity.

The site’s tagline is “Vincit qui se vincit,” which is Latin for “He conquers who conquers himself,” or “She conquers who conquers herself.” Many people seek power over others. But, to my mind, the greatest challenge—and glory—comes from self-mastery. Self-mastery is a lifelong process, and we all begin our journey in different places. However, with the right love, knowledge, and discipline, I believe that we can all achieve great progress.

My background is Christian, and so you will find a lot of Christian resources on this site. I also believe that issues of integrity entangle people from all walks of life. You will find many resources on this site that were not created for or by Christians that anyone can benefit from.

[The Lord] is a shield to those who walk in integrity.

Proverbs 2:7

Until you become the kind of person who does not need pornography, you will never be free from it.
