Christian Quote #64: God

Anyone who thought and acted exactly like us could not be God; we should expect there to be some operational distance between us and the divine. Our problem, I think, isn’t rationalizing God’s difference from us, it’s rationalizing his goodness toward us in light of some of his actions. At the end of the day, we just have to accept what God says—that all things are working for our good—even when it does not appear to be that way. In other words, we have to let God narrate the plot of our lives.
